North Iowa Area Community College recently issued the following announcement.
The NIACC men's basketball team cruised to a 110-66 victory over the William Penn Junior Varsity on Saturday at the Dale Howard Classic on the Ellsworth campus.
It was the second time this season that the Trojans have scored at least 100 points in a game. At the Konigsmark Klassic, the Trojans topped Sisseton Wahpeton College 105-67.
Freshman Jacques Kelly led five Trojans in double figures with 20 points. Also in double figures were Myles Tucker and Devon'dre Mayfield with 17 points each, Bradley Andrews with 13 points and Cortavius Seales with 11 points.
Jeffrey Skogen led NIACC with a career-high 12 rebounds. Seales also added five rebounds, five assists and three steals.
NIACC (4-1 overall) returns to action Nov. 27-28 at the Pinnacle Bank Thanksgiving Classic in Columbus, Neb.
