The State Auditor’s Office has issued a report exposing the fact that thousands of dollars are being misspent at two North Iowa child welfare agencies, according to KIMT.
Auditor Rob Sand said that upon investigation, he discovered that over $26,000 in improper payment were made in relation to Jenna Haglund, who is the former coordinator for Families Making Connections and Partners 4 Children.
Sand said that Haglund also received about $23,111.83 for the time she spent working for another employer. Moreover, Haglund also was paid $875.16 in improper mileage reimbursements.
Meanwhile, Haglund was paid $2,355.82 in credit card charges for groceries for numerous gift cards.
The Auditor’s Office said that Haglund took charge of her position in September 2017. However, she presented her resignation in February of 2019. She left her position on Feb. 22.
