County of Bremer recently issued the following announcement.
Effective January 10th, the Bremer County Building & Zoning Department will be implementing a new program for issuing Permits.
The new program will allow for Contractors/Permit applicants to submit all paper work and payments electronically utilizing the “PERMIT APPLICATIONS” link, located within the Building, Zoning & Sanitation Department, on the County’s website.
For contractors: Each contractor will be assigned a Contractor Code #, please note that this number will not change, and will be the access code in which will be used for requesting inspections online for permits, uploading additional documents, and sending messages to us online.
The email you provided via Contractor Registration is the email you will use to schedule inspections and to send or receive correspondence through the portal.
This online portal will be used for submission of permit applications, permit submittals (drawings, specifications, 3rd party testing), inspection requests and results, and permit payment.
Please note there is a small fee associated with online credit card payments and you may continue to pay permit fees by mailing in a check, free of charge.
