Most older adults don’t misuse their prescription medications intentionally, but it can happen. Accidental medication misuse can mimic the signs of dementia, and could lead to loss of independence; knowing how to store and dispose of medications safely can protect grandchildren and loved ones. Medication theft can occur any time someone enters your home for personal care/ service work. This presentation will help educate on Safe Medication Practices. Medication use increases as we age and this is how to help keep older adults active independently longer and live longer lives with better quality of life.
