MASON CITY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Master Conservationist Program on July 20

Mason City Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement.

Master Conservationist Program

The Master Conservationist Program is working to “Plant the Seeds of Conservation” in Iowa through an intensive educational curriculum that blends online lessons with in-person field experiences with local conservation leaders and passionate citizens.

July 13, 2021 Session 1: Setting the Stage- Landfill of North Iowa (Clear Lake)

July 20, 2021 Session 2: Physical Environment: Iowa's Lands and Water- Fossil & Prairie Center (Rockford)

July 27, 2021 Session 3: Understanding Iowa's Ecosystems: Aquatic EcoSystems- Clear Lake State Park (Ventura Grade Area)

August 3, 2021 Session 4: Understanding Iowa's Ecosystems: Prairies- Maynes Grove (Hampton)

August 10, 2021 Session 5: Understanding Iowa's Ecosystems: Forest- Worth County Fairgrounds (Northwood)

August 17, 2021 Session 6: Putting it together in the watershed-Milton R. Own Nature Center (Osage)

August 24, 2021 Session 7: Planting the Seeds of Conservation/Wrap up- Lime Creek Nature Center (Mason City)

Fees/Admission

$75.00 per person (Scholarships available indicate at registration)
