City of Clear Lake recently issued the following announcement.
A Whirlwind of Thanks
I don’t know about you guys, but my head is still spinning after last weekend. Did we not have THE BEST ever Harvest Festival?
Maybe it’s because I had been longing for an amazing Clear Lake event for so many months, but something about Saturday just hit me in all the feels.
The people. The wine. The vendors. The music.
Even with masks on their faces, I could see the smiles of everyone strolling through Main Avenue, enjoying the ambiance of a perfect day.
There are SO many people who made the event such a success, so buckle up as we give a great big shout of THANKS to each of them!
First up – the Harvest Festival committee and Chamber staff needs a round of applause. Maybe even a standing ovation. In a time of total uncertainty, they were able to figure out a way to make this event work safely. So, kudos to each of them for the dedication and commitment to keeping this tradition alive: Chair - Jennifer Larsen. Committee - Taylor Barragy, Deb Cash, Linda Jarnagin, Natalie Plagge, Carrie Shannon, Carrie Tysdahl.
Next up, are all the amazing businesses who made our ears tingle with glee by providing the incredible bands throughout the day. Without them, it would have been a bit of an awkwardly quiet day, so THANKS for making the music come alive during the event.
These fabulous sponsors are: Rookies, Sevens, Tap’d, Kingland, Mediacom, Country Meadow Place, Farmers State Bank and First Citizens Bank.
To help those VIP attendees feel extra special as they live their best life, we thank the Yacht Club for use of their facilities. And to all the folks who so graciously donated their time to assist in the pop up shop to sell Chamber items - you guys are AMAZING!!!
Also, the actual event sponsors who made it possible for us to put some pretty incredible swag inside the festival bags. Going with a “Survival Kit” theme this year, being that 2020 has mostly been a disaster, made it a fun play on the misfortune of the global pandemic and how it’s affected every aspect of our lives. THANKS to the 18 Chamber Members who included their special offer/coupons inside the bags, and to Cabin Coffee for including a tasty sample of their delicious coffee!
The incredible Chamber Members who so proudly sponsored the event are: Clear Lake Bank & Trust, Kingland, First Gabrielson Insurance Agency, CL Tel, and MBT Bank.
The event kicked off with the ever-popular Champagne 5K. This low key, super fun race is put on by Bergland + Cram and Kingland. It’s a great way to get your heart pumping and get you going before a day of fun at Harvest Festival!
It’s each of these awesome businesses and their CONTINUED devotion and loyalty to the Chamber organization which makes events like Harvest Festival go off without a hitch. Your dedication to the betterment of the Clear Lake community does not go unnoticed, and we are forever grateful for your help and financial assistance to ensure we provide the best events possible.
And lastly – THE PEOPLE!!!! Oh my goodness, the people came out in droves. You guys did not hesitate to purchase bags, confirming the event could go on. All day, there was a steady stream of happy, excited people roaming the streets of downtown Clear Lake. Smiling. Laughing. Enjoying life.
Thank you for your continued support of this remarkable event. We wouldn’t be able to do it without the help of the people!!
Here we are again, on another Feel Good Friday, sliding into the weekend with a smile on our face and a glimmer of hope in our eye.
Because there’s nothing better than a weekend at the Lake!
