10.1 percent of North Iowa Area Community College students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 10.1 percent of North Iowa Area Community College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

North Iowa Area Community College has a total student body of 2,995 students, of which 57 percent are women and 43 percent are men. Of these students, 195 men and 106 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at North Iowa Area Community College with the most participants are all track combined (128), baseball (38) and basketball (36).
