Cost of college went up for all students at Wartburg College

Tuition and fees rose 3.9 percent for 2018-19 at Wartburg College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Iowa students paid $41,280 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,550 more than the $39,730 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 441 students received grants or scholarships totaling $12.9 million and 328 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.7 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,498), 1,460 students used grants or scholarships totaling $42.9 million, and 1,016 students took out $7 million in federal student loans.
